We are The Birmingham Theatre School, and our primary aim is to provide a centre of excellence in Performing Arts.

Professional production-based training is incorporated into every course we run, and we pride ourselves on accessible quality professional training as a gateway to further/higher education. In addition, we provide pathways into realistic employment opportunities into the theatre and its related fields of work. With a mixture of performance work, class, workshop study and the achievement of nationally recognised qualifications, students gain the necessary knowledge and confidence to embark on a performance related career.

We offer a comprehensive range of acting courses, full or part-time, for local, regional and national students. Students are assessed individually and guided onto the course that will offer the best and most realistic chance for success.

The school is located within The Old Fire Station in Hightgate, Birmingham (click here for directions to the school).
Our facilities include fully-operational dance and rehearsal studios, and in addition, our props, warbrobe and sceneic construction departments are housed on site. This provides students with immediate access to theatre production facilities.

If you would like to contact us with any questions regarding our courses, or for any other enquires, click here.

We hope you enjoy our website and ultimately find the acting course for you!

Best wishes

Chris Rozanski
Principal of The Birmingham Theatre School
