Dracula Workshop Day
Friday 17th June 2016
Birmingham Theatre School in Association with Joseph Chamberlain College will be hosting a Workshop and Performance Day of Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’ on Friday 17th June 2016, and you are formally invited to attend.
A morning of practical workshops followed by a performance has been specifically designed for people wishing to gain an insight into life at the theatre school, obtain further information from staff and students, and to work practically with the production team of this year’s graduation show.
Experience for yourself the excitement and enthusiasm shared by all as we celebrate The BTEC Extended Diploma in Performing Arts Course Graduation Show 2016. With a large ensemble company of actors, it’s an experience not to be missed.
The workshop is free and the performance is at a discounted rate of £5.00

This production will include a promenade and processional element capturing the story in a truly majestic interpretation. This performance promises to be a memorable experience. So why not join us for this unique day, participate in a practical workshop exploring both text and characterisation as well as meeting members of the company.

Friday 17th June 2.00pm & 9.30pm (Workshop Day 10.20am and Late Night Performance)
Saturday 18th June 2.00pm & 7.30pm (Graduation Ceremony night)
A young Englishman named Jonathan Harker travels through Transylvania on a business trip. He is there to aid Count Dracula, a Transylvanian nobleman, in buying an English estate. His journey into the remote Eastern European landscape is fearsome, although initially he is charmed by the Count's generosity and intelligence. Gradually, he comes to realize that he is a prisoner in Dracula's castle, and that the Count is a demonic being who plans to prey on the teeming masses of London. Dracula leaves him to die at the hands of three female vampires, but Jonathan attempts a desperate escape... This year’s Grad show follows a great tradition of retelling classic stories in promenade format. Relive the Journey with a company of 25 actors.
