ONE YEAR PROFESSIONAL ACTING DIPLOMAS PRESENT
"THE GRIMM TALES"
The 'Grimm Tales' project is an exploration into story telling.
We had 10 days to dramatise 3 stories that are amongst the most widely recognised stories ever written.
We started by using a translation of the original German folk tales collected by the Grimm Brothers.
It was decided that although we would be presenting the stories in a theatre, we would keep 'theatrics' to a minimum and allow the stories to come through.
The actors wear the same costume for each story. There is no make up. There are very few props and the lighting and set is kept simple but hopefully, effective.
It is ultimately about the actors performances and their ability to share these wonderfully rich & timeless stories with their audience.
Peformance Dates:
Wednesday 13th November 2pm & 7.30pm
Thursday 14th November 7.30pm
Friday 15th November 7.30pm
Tickets: £7

This is Howard Brenton's play based on the true story of John Reginald Christie, the mass murderer of 10 Rillington Place. Following Christie’s execution in 1953, a young constable digs for undiscovered bodies in the garden. The place gives him the creeps so he recites obscene limericks to ward off the terrors. His superior encourages him in his work by cracking jokes of his own that are as demeaning to women as the younger man’s own crudity. Then Christie’s ghost appears.......
