Our Countries Good : Australia 1789. A young lieutenant is directing rehearsals of the first play ever to be staged in that country-with only two copies of the text, a cast of convicts and one leading lady who may be about to be hanged… Winner of the Laurence Olivier Play Award in 1988. Now a cornerstone of modern British classics and a must for every actor training in the theatre. This year’s Grad show follows a great tradition of retelling classic stories in promenade format. Relive the Journey from England to Australia and witness the brutality of life of a bygone age. A company of 40 actors and a tale of woe and strive.

LAUNCH OF BIRMINGHAM THEATRE SCHOOL ACADEMY CHARITY

A showcase of past and present! A week of activities and events including, audition slam, stage combat display, film night, shows, workshops and taster sessions.  The week is part of the launch of the new Birmingham Theatre School Academy charity to support and enhance past and present graduates of the school.  We are looking for willing participants to engage in the organising of the events, a steering forum meets every Wednesday at the Old Fire Station, 6.30pm to 9.30pm.  For full details on how to get involved see new web page to come or contact the school office on 0121 440 1665.
