The Crucible Workshop and Performance Day Friday 6th
July 2018
July 2018
Birmingham Theatre School in Association with Joseph Chamberlain College will be hosting a Workshop and Performance Day supporting this year’s Graduation show The Crucible on Friday 6th July 2018, at 10.30am and you are formally invited to attend. This is a vital induction day to the start of your course and it’s compulsory to attend.
A morning of practical workshops followed by a performance has been specifically designed for people wishing to gain an insight into life at the theatre school, obtain further information from staff and students, and to work practically with the production team of this year’s graduation show.
Experience for yourself the excitement and enthusiasm shared by all as we celebrate The BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts Course Graduation Show 2018. With a large ensemble company of actors, it’s an experience not to be missed.
The workshop is free and the performance is at a discounted rate of £5.00
The Crucible
by Arthur Miller
Directed by Chris Rozanski
Arthur Miller’s classic parable of mass hysteria draws a chilling parallel between the Salem witch-hunt of 1692 –‘One of the strangest and most awful chapters in human history’ – and the McCarthyism which gripped America in the 1950’s. The story of how the small community of Salem is stirred into madness by superstition, paranoia and malice, culminating in a violent climax, is a savage attack on the evils of mindless persecution and the terrifying power of false accusations.
